Sunrise Photography Workshop

Join Outer Banks photographer Dan Beauvais or Dan Waters for a Sunrise Photography Workshop at the beautiful Manteo waterfront on Roanoke Island. Capture the incredible colors just before sunrise and witness the stillness as the harbor starts a new day. The waterfront offers the gorgeous bay, a lighthouse, a faithful reproduction of the 16th century ship that brought the first permanent English settlers the the New World, a rustic flag-lined bridge, a waterfront gazebo, a boat building museum, a settlers’museum, quaint buildings and shops, piers, docked boats, marshes, and more than a mile of waterfront boardwalk.

A highlight of this sunrise workshop is photographing Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse with the light still on. The reflections of the light in the water with the sunrise behind it is magical.

The leaders will offer photographic instruction, advice, and inspiration to photographers of all levels. They each have over 30 years photography experience, and a combined 30 years of living and photographing on the Outer Banks. They know photography, and know the Outer Banks!

The workshop is held each Wednesday morning during June, July, August and September.  It starts at 6:15am, and continues until 8:30am. Meet on the boardwalk at the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse near the intersection of Fernando St. and Queen Elizabeth Ave. on the Manteo waterfront.   35°54’30.99″N, 75°40’8.58″W  Map
